Carefully scheduled departure and arrival times provide great planning flexibility and maximize the stay in Hungary, whether for business or leisure.

As part of our policy to supply the best customer service, we always operate to and from the main airport of the given destination so you can access the city centre faster and more conveniently. Our carefully scheduled departure and arrival times provide great planning flexibility and maximize your stay in Hungary, whether for business or leisure. Scheduling and capacity are closely coordinated to meet prevailing travel demands.

Outstanding, complimentary service and comfort as standard.

Our professional flight attendants guarantee you arrive relaxed and refreshed. In fact, in a number of international surveys we have been ranked among the best for our in-flight services and flight attendants.
The onboard menus are regularly revised to reflect the change in season and to meet shifts in culinary trends. Special care is taken to ensure that onboard catering is healthy and nutritional with a range of Hungarian dishes (“Hungaricums”) accompanied by a good selection of Hungarian fine wines.

Excellent services
When flying Malév enjoy the excellent onboard services with complimentary meals, above-average legroom, comfortable leather seats as well as our high levels of punctuality and baggage performance.

Excellent connections to Central, Eastern Europe and the Middle East!

As the national flag carrier of Hungary, we fly to more than 60 destinations from Budapest, including not only most major European cities but also a range of unique and developing locations in Central and Eastern Europe.

Flight connections are planned to cut waiting time to a minimum, thereby making Malév an efficient bridge between Western and Eastern Europe. Furthermore, scheduling is constantly monitored to ensure it reflects actual market demands: if necessary, we’ll increase the number of flights or size of aircraft to better meet the needs of our business and leisure travellers.

Transfers at Malév’s Budapest hub are fast and easy as Budapest Airport is a small but ultra-modern airport with average transfer times of 30 minutes.

Malév in oneworld alliance
As Malév is a member of oneworld, you can benefit from all the alliance’s advantages. Working in partnership, members of the world's leading airline alliance offer their customers a wider range of services and greater benefits than any single airline can do on its own. This translates into an extended route network, the use of more airport executive lounges and the chance to accrue and use Bonus and Club Points across a synchronized oneworld global route network. Members of Malév Duna Club frequent flyer programme earn and burn points on the flights of all oneworld member airlines, while premium loyalty card holders gain entry to some 550 airport departure lounges operated by alliance airlines globally. The Malév oneworld package gives travellers a partner route network with almost 700 airports.

Best Airline in Eastern Europe
When you fly with Malév you enjoy attractive fares, superior onboard comfort and services, recognized reliability and punctuality as well as the convenience of an extensive route network. In fact, all these qualities are the reason you, the industry’s most important audience, voted Malév Best Airline in Eastern Europe for 2010.

Budapest Airport is currently constructing BUD SkyCourt, a spacious and sophisticated terminal building. Completion is scheduled for 2012. SkyCourt will make flying more comfortable and faster – and Hungary will have another landmark building to be proud of.

The airport operator is well aware that due to increasing passenger traffic, Hungary’s Ferihegy airport is operated at capacity, terminals are too small now and their existing dimensions represent a limit to further capacity extension.
