History
Air France was founded in 1933 and the company started to fly to Copenhagen the same year. Air France has been operating daily flights to Copenhagen since 1955.
In 2004 AIR FRANCE and KLM merged, creating the world biggest airline group in terms of revenue and the biggest European in terms of market shares.

Destinations
After the launch of an additional flight in March 2008, Air France now offers 5 daily flights from Copenhagen to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Paris-Charles de Gaulle is a very modern airport offering 21.000 connections per week. It will soon welcome Air France new Airbus 380. Minimum connecting time is 45 minutes.
Air France also takes you twice daily from Copenhagen to Strasbourg and Lyon.

Together with KLM, AIR FRANCE offers an extensive global network and fly to 252 destinations in 106 countries. With its summer schedule 2008 Air France has increased its number of flights on a series of destinations (for example Shanghai and Hong Kong, now with two daily flights), increased capacity with bigger aircrafts to Atlanta for example and opened a new service between London Heathrow and Los Angeles thanks to the Open Skies agreement between USA and Europe.

Environment
AIR FRANCE KLM has taken a series of important measures for the environment and has a clear and ambitious climate policy: The Group’s major goal in the coming years will be to address the increase in demand for mobility while keeping the rate of increase in emissions below that of air traffic.

For several years, AIR FRANCE KLM has been working for sustainable development as a part of its overall strategy. Our ambition is to set the CSR standard within the airline industry and to keep our leading position, which is confirmed by the Group’s ranking in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes. For the third consecutive year, AIR FRANCE KLM is recognized as the
Nr 1 sustainable airline.

One of the most efficient ways of reducing the CO2 emissions is to have a young fleet. And this is by far the major investment Air France has done these past years. Through a constant modernisation of the fleet, the average age is 8,8 years (7,3 years on long-haul).

Air France was among the first airlines to give passengers information about the CO2 emissions produced by their flights and the possibility to compensate their journeys through our cooperation with GoodPlanet.

Alliance
Air France, Aeromexico, Delta and Korean founded the SkyTeam alliance in 2000. Today, SkyTeam has 11 members: Air France, Aeroflot, Aeromexico, Alitalia, China Southern Airlines, Continental, CSA Czech Airlines, Delta, KLM, Korean and Northwest. SkyTeam is the second biggest global alliance in the world (19% market share) and offers more than 16.000 daily flights to till 841 destinations in the world.
